Meet Alice Yu:
University of Cambridge graduate with an MPhil in Clinical Psychology and BA in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) at a CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. Observed and assisted assessments for Anorexia Nervosa. Contributed to service development through research related to Motivational Interviewing and gender dysphoria.
Supported vulnerable individuals experiencing challenges such as suicidality, self-harm, low mood, and anxiety as a student volunteer in Cambridge Nightline. Received training in active listening and de-escalation. Adhered to strict Nightline principles and protocols, protecting the wellbeing and privacy of callers and volunteers. Promoted student wellbeing and accessibility as a Mental Health and Disabilities Officer in the Student Union.
Research experience with the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, examining cognitive, behavioural, and emotional processes related to generalised anxiety.
