Meet Anam Shad Syeda, an Assistant Psychologist at Body& Mind Healthcare Clinic. Warm, meticulous, and dedicated, Anam brings astrong research background and hands-on clinical experience to her practice,with a particular passion for supporting children with autism, ADHD, and otherneurodevelopmental conditions. She holds a Master's degree in Health Psychologyfrom University College London, where she deepened her understanding ofhealth-related behaviours and cognitions alongside quantitative and qualitativeresearch methods. She also holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology fromHeriot-Watt University, Dubai, with a focus on psychology, mental health, andapplied psychology.

 

Anam has professional experience as a Trainee ABA Tutor,delivering structured 1:1 interventions to children with neurodevelopmentalconditions, using strengths-based strategies to achieve measurable progressacross individualised learning goals. She has also worked as a Learning SupportAssistant in Dubai, supporting children aged 6–12 with autism, ADHD, andadditional learning needs through person-centred interventions aligned with SENand EHCP frameworks, while liaising closely with teachers and families toensure individualised education plans remained clear and effective.

 

Alongside her clinical work, Anam has built substantialresearch experience across leading institutions, including UCL and the RoyalFree London NHS Trust, where she screened and reviewed over 1,000 studies withhigh accuracy and contributed to a systematic review published in PLOS One. Shehas also worked as a Research Assistant at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai,supporting research design, data management, and quality assurance of studymaterials.

 

Anam prides herself on her precision, professionalism, andcompassionate approach, combining rigorous research skills with genuine warmthin her support of children and families navigating neurodevelopmental andmental health needs.
