Tessa Martielli
Psycho Education Facilitator
Meet Tessa Martielli, a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with an MSc degree in Counselling Children and Young People from Birmingham City University. There, she earned a distinction on her dissertation on autism masking and school counselling. She also holds a BSc in Psychology from Durham University where she researched autism masking in transgender women.
In her career, Tessa has supported children and young people with a range of needs within different environments. She worked for a non-profit providing trauma informed care to adopted children with needs. She also completed two counselling placements in a primary school and a SEN secondary school in Birmingham where she offered one-to-one counselling sessions.
Most recently, she was an Autism Therapist in a school helping autistic children learn to communicate. Tessa is able to build trusting relationships with young people, provide personal interventions, and promote overall wellbeing.
